OBELiSK - Intelligent outdoor lighting concept in a harbor environment

The overall objective of the application-oriented research project is an intelligent, semi-autonomous lighting control for outdoor areas based on real-time and planning data on the processes on site.
The current absolute energy consumption for outdoor lighting and the associated greenhouse gas emissions are to be reduced by 20 percent.

On the basis of real-time data, potentials for increasing occupational safety and process efficiency should also be identified and implemented. The efficient dimming of LEDs also allows a significant reduction of light emissions, which reduces the impact on the environment.
